Rapper Nelly Arrested For Alleged Sexual Assault

Nelly was due to perform on the Smooth Stadium Tour in Ridgefield near Portland on Saturday evening.

TMZ alleged: "Nelly was booked on second degree rape charges Saturday morning at around 7 AM".

The 42-year-old rapper was reportedly arrested for allegedly raping a woman.

Stocker says Nelly's in jail and will have his first appearance before a judge "at some point".

Nelly performed Friday night at the White River Amphitheatre.

Auburn Police Department confirmed in a statement to The Blast that the rapper had been arrested.

His lawyer tells ET that the allegations are "completely fabricated".

It also claims that the victim "specifically named" Nelly.

Officers said Nelly went to Seattle afterwards and the woman returned with him and called police about 3:45 a.m. alleging the assault occurred on his bus.

Nelly is known for his hits "Hot in Herre", "My Place", and "Over and Over", a duo with country music star Tim McGraw. He said he was "confident" in the fact that the police investigation should not lead to an indictment. "Nelly is prepared to pursue all all legal avenues to redress any damage caused by this clearly false allegation." .
