José Mourinho frustrated by Manchester United's schedule for Champions League away trips

Mourinho was a vocal critic last season of the scheduling of United's Europa League and Premier League games and felt little consideration was given to the demands on players.

The Armenia worldwide has enjoyed a strong start to 2017-18, registering one goal and five assists in his side's first six league matches.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan feels much more comfortable in his second season at Manchester United but says he must keep improving to stay in Jose Mourinho's starting lineup.

Throughout last season's successful UEFA Europa League campaign, Micki scored in four troublesome away ties at Zorya Luhansk in Ukraine, Saint-Etienne in France, FC Rostov in Russian Federation and Anderlecht in Belgium.

"Last season, I had lots of injuries and couldn't feel good in games".

"But this season is different because I started playing well and the connection and understanding with other players, especially [Romelu] Lukaku, is great and I hope we can score many goals in the coming games".

The Premier League and the FA failing to help English teams in Europe is often a matter of ridicule for other European sides, and they have clearly failed to do so again with United this season.

"I know there is no limit to the work I can do and I just want to provide as many assists and goals as I can".

"I'm not saying Mkhi starts tomorrow".

United started Group A with a 3-0 home win over Basel and have a good record in Russian Federation, where they have yet to lose a European match and where they lifted the Champions League trophy in 2008 after a win over Chelsea in the final in Moscow. "We are a massive club and we will do everything we can to get to the final".

Two of Chelsea's three Champions League group games are away on a Wednesday but they have been given 5.30pm Saturday kick-offs and their trip to Roma next month is five days before they play United at Stamford Bridge at 4.30pm on a Sunday. Champions League is a different level and the quality is higher, difficulties are higher.
