Okami HD is coming to the west in December

Okami HD first launched for PlayStation 3 in 2012.

According to the announcement in this week's Famitsu, Okami HD will be released in Japan on December 13 for PC and on PS4 in physical and digital format and digitally on Xbox One December 21.

This December, we are delighted to bring you one of the most attractive and heart-warming action adventure games you will ever play: Okami HD, now with updated visuals that take advantage of modern high resolutions.

The original release back in 2006 was heralded as possibly the most attractive and visually stunning games to have ever been released, which is arguably a title that Okami is still in the running for.

Fans of Okami can rejoice today as Capcom announced that another HD remake is in the works. If this rumor is true, it suggests the game may well come to other territories. It's well known for its absolutely charming art style and for the unique gameplay based on the celestial brush mechanic.

In Okami HD, you take the role of Japanese sun goddess Amaterasu. Players will also be able to change the aspect ratio from the modern 16:9 to the original 4:3, an option present in other Capcom remasters like Resident Evil HD.

I only played a couple hours of the Wii version so I'm not sure what sorts of games those are, but I always wondered why more games didn't have simple games while loading.
