Launch Dates Confirmed For Fallout 4 VR, Skyrim VR, And Doom VFR

Fallout 4, Skyrim, and Doom will all be playable in virtual reality, and today Bethesda announced when players will be able to try them out. Launching on the 12th December, Fallout 4 VR will allow you to play through Fallout 4 from start to finish all within VR. Finally, Fallout 4 VR will be available for the Vive on December 12th. Now, all three games have release dates too, with all three arriving in the holiday season. We are used to this for games consoles, but investing in VR kit is much more expensive.

Guns. Demons. Speed. DOOM VFR takes the core elements that define DOOM and transports them to a whole new arena.

The biggest beef for VR gamers is the lack of, well, VR games. There has been no official confirmation on what other platforms the title may be heading to, but most analysts are predicting that it will come to Oculus Rift at some point, giving HTC Vive a timed exclusive.

"I really encourage anybody who wants a fast-paced combat experience to look at DOOM VFR", adds Game Director Marty Stratton. "Skyrim VR" is identical to the original game, first released in 2011 - instead of playing the game on a TV from first-person, you are the first-person in question when you're in VR.

However, Skyrim VR seems to be the base game with all the expansions, but ported to virtual reality.
