Recent Black College Grad Beaten to Death in Greece

An American on a Greek island vacation after graduating from college was beaten to death by a mob and eight people have been arrested in the case, police said.

The man, identified by his family as Bakari Henderson from Austin, Teas, was in Greece to conduct a photo shoot for his new fashion line, according to the Austin-Statesman.

A man confronted him when they were at the bar but the confrontation soon turned into deadly street fight after the bar's security men asked them to leave, according to the report.

American tourist Bakari Henderson was killed in a brawl in Greece, reports ABC News, citing local police.

A Greek barman, 34, and a 32-year-old British bouncer of Serbian origin were arrested Friday, AFP reported.

"We are in communication with authorities and provide consular assistance with the deceased citizen's family", a US Embassy official said.

Sources tell News 4 Tucson that Henderson was in the town of Laganas on a with his Phi Gamma Delta fraternity brothers when the incident occurred.
