Smarter Siri, More Updates Arriving with iOS 11

There are plenty of reasons to try the iOS 11 beta on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

"By blending digital objects and information with the environment around you, ARKit takes apps beyond the screen, freeing them to interact with the real world in entirely new ways", according to Apple.

The bittersweet news is that Apple's new iOS 11 software has revamped the "Invert Colors" feature so that it's now a "Smart Invert" that darkens the color scheme of the UI without inverting the colors on things like photos and app icons.

Apple has been labelling the iPad as a laptop alternative for some time, but it's only with the release of iOS 11 that users will have access to features that allow for efficient multitasking, as well a hub for all of the tablet's files. But Apple still refuses to add multiple account support, which would allow several members of the same household to share an iPad without worrying about giving each other access to private data. However, as always, where there is a will, there's a way, and as such, we're going to tell you how to get it right now.

Unfortunately, if your device does not appear below, that means it cannot support iOS 11.

Siri will get a "more human voice" in iOS 11, and Maps will have new cities, better navigation, speed limits, and lane guidance.

If you've disabled auto-downloading of apps in Settings iTunes & App Store on any of your devices, you'll need to follow this tutorial on each device to be certain you aren't overlooking an app that's on your iPhone 7, say, but not your iPad Pro. However, when it has done so, go to Settings General Software Update.

Again, Apple is planning to release iOS public beta next month, so you'll have some waiting to do.

Once on the store page you should see an "Update" button. However, if you find it there as it should be, please Install The iOS Update as you would any other.

And that's it! Now that your profile has been installed, you need only to wait until Apple pushes the beta out to devices.
