Enraged NYC deli patrons hurl avocados after cook botched orders

According to the NYPD, a 21-year-old clerk was behind the counter at the Stadium Gourmet Deli when two suspects approached him angrily about a food order.

Meanwhile, the suspect and an accomplice, who also threw avocados and trashed the place, remain at large, the New York City Police Department told HuffPost on Wednesday.

Trouble flared when the worker tried to kick the two men out for causing a scene over their order.

NY police are looking for the suspect in a freaky attack at a deli.

The bodega clerk's jaw was broken in the attack along with other bones in his face, police said.

The two attackers got away in a dark-colored sedan, police said.

The video shows the clerk grabbing his head after an avocado hits him.

The video shows one man, wearing a black t-shirt, grab avocados from a stand and start pelting them at the worker behind the counter.

A bearded man, dressed in jeans, a white shirt and a blue vest, and holding his belt in his hand, joins in moments later.

The suspects are described as being in their late 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches and 180 pounds, police said. An employee at the deli said he had to have surgery on his eyes.
