OnePlus just announced it has joined forces with DxO to "enhance your photography experience" with the upcoming OnePlus 5.

OnePlus really wants to hit the nail on the head when it comes to their upcoming OnePlus 5's camera set.

OnePlus has confirmed that they will launch the OnePlus 5 this summer, and many are excited about OnePlus' upcoming flagship.

Rumors have been swirling for weeks that OnePlus is planning a dual-lens camera for the OnePlus 5. The slightly odd thing there is that 23-megapixel may only refer to one sensor, so we have no idea what the other one will be.

This is an area where the expertise of DxOMark might help as they have developed image processing software.

Dual cameras on both the front and back will not only be used to add greater depth and zoom to photos, but will supposedly add augmented reality features too.

Beyond the camera, the next OnePlus flagship is expected to pack a whopping 8GB RAM and Qualcomm's 10nm Snapdragon 835 SoC. "DxO Labs" is popular for DxOMark mobile photography benchmark that ranks smartphones' camera as per their image-capturing capabilities. Now, with OnePlus 5, it looks like they are going to improve the section in which they failed years ago.

Two separate reports surrounding the OnePlus 5 surfaced late on Wednesday (May 17), and one of them will make you wonder whether it's worth the hype.

With all that said, it's important to note that nothing about the OnePlus 5, including the design and specs, is concrete until OnePlus announces the details itself.

Other rumors surrounding the OnePlus 5 suggest it'll run on the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphones are now using.

PriceJara claims the OnePlus 5's dual-lens camera is similar to the iPhone 7 Plus' dual-lens camera, but it's unclear if the OnePlus 5's camera will have the same functions as the iPhone 7 Plus.
