Sony Alpha 9 accessories

We say very few because the new Sony A9 packs a sophisticated stabilization system, full-frame sensor and insane autofocus system into its gorgeous, compact magnesium body.

Sony is going on the offensive in the camera market, launching its new Alpha A9 camera - the most expensive, feature-rich mirrorless camera yet.

Those of you eager to know, the Sony α9 full-frame mirror-less camera has the much talked about 4D Focus that includes 693 point AF system, covering almost 93 percent of the image area, reliable object tracking and fast-focusing speed. The a9 features the world's first stacked full frame BSI image sensor with 24MP and BIONZ X image processor. It has 693 phase-detect points, which cover around 93 percent of the frame, and the company says its updated Fast Hybrid AF system is around 25 percent faster than the (already speedy) setup fitted to the A7R II.

High-capacity battery with approximately 2.2x the capacity of the NP-FW50 W-series battery.

There's also an all-new, high-resolution, high-luminance Quad-VGA OLED Tru-Finder viewfinder with approximately 3,686,000 dots, which should deliver extremely accurate, true-to-life detail reproduction. The camera will not create blackouts while performing continuous shots due to the non-mechanical electronic shutter. The frame rate of the Tru-Finder is even customizable, with options to set it for 60 fps or 120 fps 13 to best match the action. Touch focusing on the rear LCD screen is also supported. It's possible to save 14-bit precision RAW files. It is also dust and moisture resistant and has fluorine coating on the front element that makes it easy to keep clean. The new sensor/processor combination is up to 20-times faster than the unit in previous mirrorless Sony models. The camera features a multi-selector joystick on the back of the camera, allowing shooters to easily shift focus point within the frame by pressing the multi-selector in any direction up, down, left or right when shooting in Zone, Flexible Spot or Expanded Flexible Spot focus area modes.

In terms of pricing, at £4,500 / $4,500 body only the Sony A9 is the most expensive model in the Alpha range, but it's cheaper than the comparable Nikon D5 and Canon EOS-1D X Mark II. This Sony Alpha 9 accessory comes with two packs of NP-FZ100 rechargeable batteries.
