The Dengeki article also states that the game supports HDR on all formats, plus 4K on PS4 Pro and PC, and confirms full-game compatibility with PSVR.

The game is not expected until next year, but developers already revealed a Collector's Edition of the game that contains extra items and goodies that capture many elements from the game. The version of Windows Store can share saved game with the version of Xbox One.

Resident Evil 7 biohazard will be released on Ps4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on 24 January 2017; however the collector's edition will only be available for Ps4 and Xbox One. In a statement to IGN, Capcom confirmed that Xbox-PC cross-saving is included.

Overall, Capcom's decision to give Xbox One and PC players the ability to cross-save is a good idea, for not only should it please Microsoft's console and personal computer fans, but also it could increase sales for Resident Evil 7 on both platforms. It would be interesting if Play Anywhere was also implemented just as an incentive for Xbox One/Windows 10 players.

Naturally, PC gamers should expect cross-saves to be available only in the Windows Store version of Resident Evil 7.

Resident Evil 7 takes the core franchise into the first-person for the first time, undoubtedly riffing on the cult popularity of the ill-fated Silent Hills. After all, the company will undoubtedly want to surpass its sales expectations of selling 4 million copies before April 2017. If so, which of the two platforms will you be playing on the most?
