Diehard fans will be pleased to know that the band's frontman, Chris Martin, has arrived three days ahead of the debut edition of the Global Citizen Festival India (GCFI), where he is scheduled to perform with his world-famous British band.

Coldplay's lead Chris Martin has landed in Mumbai for The Global Citizen Festival, which will be held tomorrow. "It's already crowded here and it will fill up to 75,000 to a lakh by the evening", said an excited Ayushmann.

GCFI will also feature worldwide artistes like The Vamps and Demi Lovato. "Chris is the curator of the festival".

Actress Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor announced the opening of the festival.Arijit took to the stage and set the mood right as he crooned the "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" title track and then went on to sing his other popular tracks. She shared the picture with a caption that read: One of the most memorable nights of my life last night.

Martin even struck a pose with a group of industry kids including Sridevi's daughters Jhanvi and Khushi Kapoor and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's daughter Aaliyah.

Martin hobnobbed with the top music celebrities of the industry as he jammed with music composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and singer-cum-actor Farhan Akhtar. Apart from Coldplay, Jay Z, Demi Lovato and The Vamps from overseas and Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, A.R. Rahman, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif and many more from the Indian film industry are expected to attend.

PeeCee, who co-hosted UN's Global Citizen Festival with Hugh Jackman, Neil Patrick Harris and Salma Hayek, misses being part of the festival on her own home turf.
